Domino's Story...
Name: Domino
Color: Black and White
Breed: Border Collie and Pit Bull Mix
Gender: Male
Age: 6 months
Domino is a high energy boy looking for a responsible, permanent home. He is a social guy who loves to meet new people wherever he goes. Domino is available for adoption at Whatcom Humane Society.
Big fan of: Exercise! Domino is not a couch potato dog. He needs someone who can commit to giving him consistent exercise and training. If you're looking for a running partner to go on outdoor adventures with, Domino may be the dog for you!
Special features: Domino does need to learn some manners, especially when it comes to other dogs, he has no concept that other dogs don't want to be jumped on the face. Domino will need to be signed up for positive based obedience classes before his adoption can be finalized. This will provide his new family with the right tools to help Domino grow up into a well mannered adult dog.
Dream Home: Domino is not a suitable companion for an elderly dog. It would not be fair to the older dog to put up with his hyper puppy antics. As with all our puppies, we will be taking applications from families interested in giving this guy a home and choosing the best match.
If you’re interested: Please call our Adoptions department at (360) 733-2080 or visit us at 2172 Division St, Bellingham, WA 98226 to fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Domino, a Bellingham Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Border Collie/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
