O'Connor's Story...
This happy face belongs to O'Connor. O'Connor is a year old and is a black lab mix. However he sure looks full blooded lab to us and he is STUNNING! You must see him in person, the photos and video do not do him justice. So hard to capture the beauty of this guy because he is soooooooo jet black. But he has gold eyes and they are riveting in person. You can catch glimpses of them in his video. He was having so much playing that we really did not get to focus on his face. O'Connor is one of those happy go lucky, friendly dogs. He weighs 76 pounds and will need a little bit of training, but he is smart and will learn fast. He loves to play fetch and will bring it right back to you. He is just such a lovable guy with a great temperament. The perfect dog for any active family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

O'Connor, a Marseilles Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marseilles, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marseilles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marseilles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marseilles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marseilles paves the way for another one to be saved.
