Anberlin's Story...
Anberlin is a sweet 6 month old torbie who was released to us from the Henry County Animal Control. One of the many perks of being a volunteer at the shelter is naming a cat after your favorite rock band! Anberlin received such a name from one of her volunteer friends. This 6 month old torbie kitten was timid and unsure when she arrived from Henry County Animal Control in Cambridge. But with just a little socializing and lap time from volunteers, this little girl is truly rockin’ out! Her tabby coat with patches of orange are even reminiscent of tie-dye. Anberlin is spayed, current on immunizations, and has a microchip. You can meet this sweet headbanger any day from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at 14606 Roos Hill Road in Geneseo. Rock on!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Anberlin, a Geneseo Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Geneseo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Geneseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Geneseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Geneseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Geneseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
