My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Danny is a wonderful boy who was facing death in a small town shelter in KS. He was extremely overweight, and honestly, we thought we were taking him as a hospice case. It turns out, poor Danny was very low on thyroid! After blood tests revealed his condition, we started him on thyroid supplement and also on an inexpensive heart medicine for his murmur, and Danny came to life! He has lost most of his excess weight, and is running and moving with ease now!

Danny is dog and cat friendly, and is an overall sweet older boy. He would like a home that would take him for gentle strolls, snuggle on the couch, and then share the bed at night. A nice fenced yard to lounge in the sun and snoop around in would be a huge plus!

Danny will need to remain on his medications for the rest of his life, with periodic blood tests to confirm his dosage is still correct. His 2 medicines will cost about $20-30 a month.
