Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hank is a fabulously sweet Great Dane mix who weighs 75 pounds and is about two years old. His story is another one where you shake your head and ask, "who are those people???" when you read that he and his friend, Ophelia, were left chained up outside with no food or water when the owners moved out. We don't know how long they were out there before the neighbors called animal control. By the time animal control rescued him, Hank had lost so much weight he was skin and bones. He has gained at least 10 pounds but still needs to gain a little more. Hank gets along very well with other dogs and even cats. He is gentle but also loves to run and play. He can easily jump a 4 ft. fence so he will need a home with at least a 6 ft. wooden fence. Have you always wanted a gentle giant to call your own? If so, Hank may be the right one for you.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
