TINA's Story...
The truth is that we don't have a clue what breed TINA is! She is remarkably smart and sensitive, very gentle and sweet. Her rescuer took on the care of 3 tiny kittens soon after Tina came into her home. They were so small that they had to be bottle fed and stimulated to eliminate 6 times a day. Tina instantly adopted them, taking on the stimulation task, keeping them cuddled, warm, and groomed, and gently carrying them back to their box if they strayed.

Tina is spayed, weighs 33 pounds (she is fully grown), and best of all: she comes immediately when called. She adores other dogs and has had no trouble integrating with the others at our home shelter. Her socialization with people, and especially children, will continue while she is with us.

When Tina was rescued she was battered and bruised, and we think she may have been a bait dog for fights. For 2 months she was lovingly nursed back to health and was the constant companion of her foster mom. But when the fosterer returned to the US from Puerto Rico, she had to leave Tina behind. Tina lost her kitten babies and her human at the same time. For 2 weeks she lived in a small crate at a very busy vet clinic, where she was confused and depressed, so we made her a very high priority for transport. She arrived here from Puerto Rico on April 25th, along with her tiny companion Duques, and she is now available for visits and adoption. For more information, please call Bonnie at 603 835-6154.
