Alanna-Prison Graduate's Story...
Alanna has just returned from several months of training at the Grafton Correctional Institution. She is a proud prison graduate. She spent her time learning skills in obedience, basic commands, manners and proper leash walking. She is now available for adoption and waiting for her forever home. Please don't make her wait too long. She needs to continue to keep practicing the skills he's learned so well.

Alanna was pregnant when she arrived at Friendship from another rescue. She had her puppies while in foster care and was a very good mother. She arrived from another facility so not much is known about her. She's a gorgeous brindle boxer mix that's a young adult. Alanna had her pups and now is trained. It's her turn to finally find a loving home.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alanna-Prison Graduate, a Elyria Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
