Leonard's Story...
Leonard is a big happy ball of fluff who was born around the end of January. He is a confident little man who loves playing with his foster siblings and enjoys being petted by new people and children. His favourite toy right now is a squeaky rubber ball which he will sit and squeak ALL day! Leonard is learning to sleep in his crate ( he prefers the floor right now !) and house training is coming along. If desperate the puppies are trained to go on paper but they try to hold it all night ! Leonard loves children and like his foster sister Bernadette, he is also not bothered by them running around him, he just continues with what he is doing. For this reason, he would probably make a great family dog. Come meet Leonard today, he'd love to meet you !

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leonard, a Saskatoon Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
