My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This magnificent dog is named Fraulein because of her obvious breed: German shepherd. Fraulein comes to our rescue by way of a man locally who was breeding GSD's. Fraulein is the second GSD that this man has contacted our rescue to "come pick up" because he couldn't feed them anymore. Fraulein showed no signs of abuse or neglect because she has always been very friendly with our volunteers, but she is very thin for a dog her size. Her current weight is just over 60 lbs and we feel that she should easily weigh close to 80 or 85 lbs. But we can certainly take care of feeding her. We just need to help her find a good home.
Fraulein has been spayed and is up to date on vaccines. She appears to be at least 5 years old but is still very active. Her teeth look good, her coat is beginning to get some shine to it, and she is showing signs of being cared for with proper nutrition. Fraulein was testing heart worm positive, but we have treated her for that. She has done well with the treatment. She will be ready to travel anytime after the first weekend in May.
Fraulein is good with most larger dogs, but we have not tested her with all types of dogs large and small. We would be happy to do that. We have not cat tested her, but would be happy to do that as well. She is great with people and is very loving and affectionate. She walks like a champ on her leash and will leap into a vehicle to go for a ride. Loves to ride in the car. She probably needs a home with some wide open spaces to stretch her long legs and body. She is going to be absolutely gorgeous once she is at her full adult weight. If you are looking for a GSD that is in need of a great home, look no further. You have found Fraulein.
