Little summer is wanting love in the worst way. She loves to be near her people and gets along well with other dogs. She is learning basic commands, is crate trained and becoming a pro at retrieving the ball. As with all young dogs, she gets excited and craves your attention.

Born March 3, 2013, she still has a puppy mentality, she is full grown now, but will put on weight as she fills out. She will be between 40-50lbs

Summer BK The Treeing Tennessee Brindle Breed is a hunting dog and very good family pet. They are known to be gentle, affectionate and interact safely with children. Summer has never been around children, but seems to be gentle

About Homes for Pets

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of animal lovers who volunteer our time and talents to help homeless needy pets find new homes. Many of our pets come from life or death situations, or abusive situations. Some pets come from city shelters. We also list animals that are still with their owner, but for one reason or another the owner can no longer keep them. Our dogs and cats live in foster homes, not in a shelter. You don't have to wonder if a dog or cat is good with kids, or other dogs or cats. You will usually know if they are. We work on housebreaking and basic manners as well.

ALL of our animals, even those we list for owners trying to re-home their pets, must be spayed/neutered to help control the serious animal overpopulation in this area.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoption events are held at the following locations/times:

We hold adoption events at the Forum PetSmart (exits 172-173 off IH-35 in San Antonio) each weekend from noon - 4:00 p.m. We also hold occasional other adoption events. Check the calendar on our website for additional or updated information! (www.homesforpets.org)

Our Adoption Process...

If you'd like to adopt an animal from us, please go to our website at www.homesforpets.org to fill out an adoption application!
