My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet Dexter and Dunkin! These handsome French bulldogs were surrendered to BBR by a loving family. They are bonded half-brothers! They are both almost 5 years old, with birthdays in June and July. Dexter and Dunkin have lived together continuously since they were puppies. They came to us up-to-date on shots, on heartworm preventative, and very healthy.

Dexter has battled allergies since he was a puppy. He is currently on Nature’s Recipe Protein Rich
Soybean Meal. He has also successfully been on Iams Kangaroo and Oats. Dexter has seen a dermatologist, and has a few recommendations that need followed. He tends to get chronic ear infections and his face folds need to be wiped clean daily. His diet needs to be monitored closely.

Dunkin is very healthy. He has no allergies, but eats alongside Dexter, so they share the same food. They both enjoy green beans on their meal. Dunkin’s face folds need to be wiped daily also.

Dexter and Dunkin are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together. They know basic commands. They sit and wait to be released to eat. These boys show absolutely no food, dog or toy aggression. Both are very laid back and love to snuggle together, or find a lap. Their foster family doesn’t crate them while away, and they have never bothered anything, nor do they have accidents. Dexter and Dunkin love the outdoors! It would be best if they had a fenced yard since Dexter has a lot of energy and loves running zoomies around the perimeter. Dexter can be very excitable when meeting new people, but calms down well with redirection.

Both boys do have a prey drive, and do NOT like cats! They walk okay on a leash, but they do need some leash instruction. Their foster mom walks them coupled, which does help. They both sit nicely while you harness and leash them up.

Dexter and Dunkin are an absolute joy, and their foster mom can’t say enough good things about them! They do enjoy sleeping in bed with their humans, but previously when told “bed” they would sleep in their crate.

Due to Dexter’s allergies, it would be best for these boys to go to a home with children over 8 years old. Also, Dunkin is a bit timid and startles easily. He was hiding from the two year old in his previous home.

While these boys do well with other dogs, a slow introduction is VERY important! Dexter can get overly excited when meeting new dogs. Their foster mom did slow introductions with them and her own pets over about a week, and all the dogs get along well.

Dexter and Dunkin are a super sweet, bonded pair of French bulldogs! Please consider opening up your heart and giving these boys their furever home.

Adoption donation for Dexter and Dunkin is $800.
