Mr. Owl's Story...
These sweet little puppies are just 6 weeks old in these pictures. There are two boys - Mr. Owl and Eeyore and one little girl - Rabbit. They came to us after their mother gave birth to them in a shelter. Shelters are no place for puppies or any dog. So, this small family, momma and pups, were hustled out of there and taken to Lucky Lab Rescue where they are now thriving and healthy and the pups are growing like weeds. Momma is a sweet little black lab mix who is only about 35 to 40 lbs. so we don't expect these puppies to be very large. They are gorgeous babies and they have been well taken care of by their mom. We don't know who the dad is, but look at those beautiful eyes. Mr. Owl, Eeyore and Rabbit scamper and romp and have fun playing like little puppies should. They don't have a care in the world. All three are very sweet babies and love to be held and cuddled. They are up to date on vaccinations for their age and are micro-chipped. If you would like to learn how one of these sweethearts could become a part of your family, please complete the online adoption application and indicate them in the notes section. They will surely light up your life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Owl, a Salem Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
