Flora's Story...
Flora the explorer…..or at least she is an explorer "wannabe". She came to the shelter very frightened, but her first day in our "littles" play group revealed a very different side of her personality.
She loves people….a real lap lover, and after a few minutes in group showed her playful side. She is still a bit nervous with sudden, loud noises and movements, but then who isn't?
Her cuteness quotient is a 10……and if you don't believe me come to the shelter and see for yourself!

Act quickly to adopt Flora. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Flora, a Berkeley Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
