My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dexter is at least 7-9 months old but he is really acts like a 2-3 year old calm dog. This boy is an old soul in a young dog’s body. The only thing that is still young about him is that he will chew. Like most dogs will do as they learn what is appropriate to chew and not to chew. He adores children and doesn't pay much attention to the cats. The foster cats set the ground rules where he is staying. Dexter will chase chickens but stops when told firmly to "Leave It!" He is crate trained and housetrained. He is very smart and catches on really FAST. Dexter didn't really know what a toy was until a week ago. Poor boy never grew up as a puppy having much in life. Like a typical puppy, he wants to run of with shoes. We give him the "Leave It" and he drops the shoe. We give him one of his approved chew toys and he is glad to take it to the carpet and chew for a bit. Dexter needs a little encouragement to get into a vehicle but once he is in the car, he enjoys sitting or laying on the floor and looking out of the windows. He’s a very good rider. He had been in the kill shelter for at least two months before Critter Cavalry took him out and placed him in a wonderful and loving foster home. This boy is an exceptional dog, a great
