Brendan's Story...
The luck of the Irish smiled on me when Capic took me in from a local resident in Raritan on March 16. I had been out on the streets all winter. Not feeling my best, but the kind woman cared for me, kept me warm and fed me. She tried to find out who I belonged to, but I was homeless. Sadly they say I am FIV positive, but that's ok, I'm doing fine. Even sadder yet, Raritan's animal control would have sent me to the rainbow bridge. I'm not ready for that yet! I'm a lovable, cuddly, big ball of orange fluff. And a LAP CAT! If you can give me a safe indoor only home as an only spoiled cat or with other FIV positive cats, please contact Joan of Capic at jbeard_99@yahoo.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brendan, a Raritan Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Raritan, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Raritan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Raritan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Raritan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Raritan paves the way for another one to be saved.
