Dora's Story...
I am a super sweet kitty looking for a new forever home. My owner lost her job and then we lost our home so she had to move in with family and they are allergic to cats so I couldn't come. Will you open your heart and home and give me a new place to live? I promise I will be a good kitty and I will give you tons of love for rescuing me! I did have a ear infection when I was little and I lost some of my hearing but hey, nobody's perfect!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dora, a Tampa American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
