Venus's Story...
Venus is a beautiful adult female Boxer dog. She recently arrived at the shelter with Bruiser after their owners could no longer care for them because of size restrictions in their new residence. Venus is very friendly, loves to play with other dogs, walks great on a leash and wants to find her forever home.

Venus is approximately 4-1/2 years old as of April 2014 and weighs approximately 50-60 pounds.

Venus resides at a rescue organization in Arkansas. Please contact Gail Ross at 870-431-8229, or via email at gailspets@hotmail.com to discuss this dog. You can find our adoption application by going to www.Gailspets.org and clicking on the Adoption Application tab. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Venus, a Oakland Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Oakland, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Oakland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland paves the way for another one to be saved.
