Hello there, thanks for taking a moment to read about me! I’m the sweetest, gentlest old man around, and I’d really like to spend my golden years with you! I love people of all ages, and am always up for cuddling with you in bed, being your companion on a leisurely walk around the neighborhood, or letting you give me a nice spine massage after a good brushing! I also love other animals, including dogs and cats alike. In fact, in my last foster home, I let kittens ride around on my back!
I did have a hard life before coming to Cayleb’s Kindred, when I lived with an older woman who didn’t take me to the vet, and let some easily treated conditions get really bad. My elbows developed deep open wounds that had to be closed surgically, and my ears were severely infected (one was over 80% closed). Despite all that, I remained positive, and kept my tail wagging the whole way. Now, I’m much better, though I do need some minor daily upkeep to make sure my ears don’t get infected again, and I need to wear canine elbow pads to make sure my elbows don’t open up again.
I am fifteen years old, but prefer to think of it as being fifteen years young. I still have a lot of love to give, and really want to share it with someone. And while everyone at Cayleb’s Kindred has grown very attached to me, and are willing to keep me on as a sanctuary dog, they are hoping my perfect person is out there somewhere. Is that you?
