My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy post for 4 Paws Pet Rescue. Please contact them at fourpawspets08@yahoo.com if you are interested in adopting this dog.

Dolly is an approximately 3 month old Shorthaired Dachshund Mix. We are not sure how big she is going to be when full grown but probaby 20-25 pounds. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and dewormed and is now looking for a new home.

Dolly is a sweet little girl. She has really come out of her shell since we first met her and has been social and lovingly warms up to new people and even wants to give them little puppy kisses. She is a little overwhelmed by babies and toddlers, but was great with some 4 year olds that she was visiting. She will probably make a great companion for a home with another medium sized dog to show her the ropes and help her gain confidence. At first she can be nervous around the big dogs, but if they are gentle she learns quickly that they aren't going to harm her. She was very intimidated by a 5 month old German Shepherd that she met, so she would probably gain greatly from some puppy play dates and puppy kindergarten classes.

Dolly is absolutely wonderful. She loves sitting in your lap. She is learning about housebreaking and has not had an accident when she has had access to a doggy door. She sleeps in a crate every night, but still can be a little noisy when she is first put in bed. Her adoption fee is $250 plus a $17.99 microchip registraton fee. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed.
