ADOPTED! This little "sweetheart" arrived in rescue just in time for Valetine's Day! Valentina is a 24 lb. lovable female who is just shy of her third birthday. She's a playful girl that gets along with other same-sized dogs and is friendly with humans as well.
Valentina's owner had surrendered her to Animal Control when she failed to perform as a hunting dog. It seems Valentina simply isn't interested in chasing rabbits! His heartlessness has become our gain. This gentle and affectionate girl deserves so much better!
Valentina is current on routine vaccinations, heartworm neg. (on monthly preventative), microchipped, and has been spayed. She is now adapting to living indoors and adjusting well to her cozy crate. She will need guidance in the housetraining department, having had no reason to learn previously.
Valentina walks nicely on a leash, is generally quiet (not a barker), and has a easygoing disposition. She'll be a wonderful addition to a lucky family.
Important: Valentina is not at a shelter where you can go to meet her. All Safe Hounds Beagles are cared for in a loving foster home. Prospective adopters MUST submit an adoption application and be pre-approved before meeting a dog. Submitting an application does not guarantee you will be approved.
