Maggie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Maggie's Story...
Maggie is an approximately 10-year old spayed black (with some white) Cocker Spaniel, who weighs about 18 lbs. She has very soft fur and is very pettable, but as with most Cockers, will need periodic grooming. She is very friendly, energetic, playful, obedient (she knows sit and will come when you call her name). She sleeps in the kitchen on her bed like the other she is fostered with and is quiet through the night. She can be a little shy of new things (new sounds and strangers) but comes around with gentle coaxing. She uses the doggie door and seems so far to be housebroken.

Maggie along well with other dogs and loves to go for walks. She rides well in the car and behaves well for the groomers and also for the vet. She's a total love!

PLEASE CONTACT HER FOSTER MOM, PAM, at pamelacg@juno.com, or call (858) 292-1408.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Vista Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Vista, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
