Mona is a female Border Collie/Shepherd mix puppy only 5 months old. She has gorgeous fluffy black fur with a tiny hint of chocolate brown and with cream and gray on her legs, face and belly. She is on the small side, currently weighing in at 16 pounds. Her adult weight is estimated to be 40-50 pounds. Mona is a sweet, bubbly, social little girl once she warms up to you. Like her sister, Miki, she is a little bit slow to trust but once she gets to know you, she is delightful. However, she is probably the more outgoing of the two. She is gentle and has a kind heart. Mona is good with other dogs and likes to play silly games and chase. She is responsive to people and learns very quickly. She does well with her potty training and appears to prefer going outside. Mona is learning how to walk on leash and is a quiet car rider. She is very quiet overall and although she has puppy playfulness, she is not hyper at all. Mona likes being stroked and will give you her whole heart once she trusts you. She will likely bond very closely and loyally to her forever family. Mona was brought in to a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where we rescued her. She is a healthy puppy and ready for her new forever home today!

Mona’s adoption donation is $400 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Mona is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Sharon and is ready for her forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MONA, a Newport Beach Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Border Collie/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
