From her foster mom: Please let me introduce Kisses, a super-sweet senior lady. Kisses has come to ESRA in her golden years because her former owner is no longer able to care for her.
This lovely girl is up to date on all her vaccinations and is heartworm negative. She was spayed approximately eight years ago. She has a bit of arthritis. When Kisses first came to us, she had a noticeable limp and was having trouble walking distances. The vet prescribed two buffered aspirins a day, and she has shown great improvement. She can now walk around the neighborhood without any limping!
Kisses is now flourishing in our foster home. She originally lived in the quiet Iowa countryside with little traffic and only distant neighbors. Suburban life has offered many new sights and experiences, which at first required a few good rounds of "talking." As Kisses has settled into her new home, she is becoming more accustomed to cars, joggers, and neighbors, so she doesn't have to do so much "talking" any more. She is hard of hearing, so she will require a fenced in yard for her protection, as she does not hear most vocal commands.
Kisses is a wonderful Springer girl and a true Velcro dog. She offers unconditional love, wiggle butts, snuggles, and a big round of "Woo! Woo!" to greet you when you come home. Due to the her age, she doesn't have the high energy typical of Springers. So if you want all the good loving that a Springer has to offer without the high energy, Kisses is the dog for you!
