Virgil's Story...
"Hi there! My name is VIRGIL, and I'm an alert and lively Miniature Pinscher (a "Min Pin") with personality to spare. I'm eight years old and full of spirit. I really enjoy my daily walks, and I like to snuggle with somebody that loves me. If you've got a lap, then I'm there. It takes a little while for me to get to know a new person, but once I develop that trust, I will be your devoted pal for life. I get along nicely with other dogs, and I'd do best in an adult home. You'll be pleased to know that I've been house trained, and you'll also be happy to hear that as a "Super Senior" MY ADOPTION FEE IS JUST $30. My adoption fee includes my microchip, plus I've already been neutered and I'm up-to-date on my shots. That's a pretty good bargain for a special little guy like me! I sure hope you'll come visit me soon at the El Cajon Animal Shelter so we can spend some time getting better acquainted in the shelter's nice play yard. Just ask one of our helpful staff. I'll be waiting for you, so please come soon. Love, Virgil" Kennel #33

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Virgil, a El Cajon Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
