I may be the sweetest dog my foster persons have ever met. I seem to love just about every person and dog i meet. But I'm super super calm. I don’t jump on people. I like to go up to to new people and sit next to them while the pet me and shower me with love. Or I like to lay down and let them rub my belly. I've made fast friends with everyone in the neighborhood, the children in the park, even the check-out people at Home Depot look forward to seeing me. They all remember me and say I'm the best dog they have ever met. Everyone I meet tells me that I am "so sweet". I'm very submissive to other dogs but I love to play and run and jump with them. I love the dog park. I get very excited when I see a new dog I can play with.
I would like to brag that i may be the best hiking companion in history. Seriously. If they gave out medals for this, I could take gold. I love to get out on the greenbelt trails with my person every day and i behave nearly perfectly off leash. I stay near my person and I love to smell EVERYTHING. Occasionally an interesting smell will start to lead me off into the trees or down a side trail, but a short call or whistle from my person, and I happily run back to their side. I also walk well on a leash. I don’t pull on the leash like some dogs do. I am pretty content to walk along at whatever pace my person sets as long as I get to smell as much as possible. I do really well on a retractable leash because it lets me smell around while my person walks at a consistent pace. I love walks and I am an excellent walking companion.
I am a super chill dog indoors and am very content to lay next to my person and watch TV at home. I love to lay human style, on my back with all my legs in the air while I watch tv. Other dogs dont know what they're missing. I'm a pretty great cuddler with anyone who will cuddle with me.
I don't seem to be interested in chewing much. I do like to chew on a rawhide occasionally but other items don't interest me. I have a stuffed cat that I like to lay my head on but I never chew on it. My humans seem to breath a sigh of relief that I'm not chewing up any of their belongings. I will fetch a plastic stick and bring it back a few times, especially if another dog is doing it with me.
