Jack's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jack's Story...
Have you ever been hugged by a border collie? That is exactly what
Jack does! He loves to give hugs! Jack is a very handsome 7 year old
gentleman who loves to be around people. He is especially loving and
affectionate. His owner was very elderly and could not take care of Jack any
more, so he surrendered him to a shelter in Kentucky. He has been well
taken care and shows no signs of poor socialization or neglect. He is
neutered, fully vaccinated and heart worm negative.

He is doing very well with his foster sisters who are both border collies.
He shows no signs of herding instincts or aggression with other dogs. He
has not been tested with cats but I am certain that with his laid back
attitude, cats will not be a problem. He is very loving toward his foster
family and shows equal preference for both males and females. He does
well with older children, but I would not recommend placement with a family with small children.

Jack is very content being petted, napping and taking walks. Jack does not tolerate
rough play or wrestling, and is not interested in agility or fly ball. He is
looking for a family who needs a family pet! He is house-trained and crate-
trained, and sleeps wonderfully at night.

If you are interested in having more love and hugs that you can imagine,
Jack is the perfect dog for you !

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Oliver Springs Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Oliver Springs, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Oliver Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oliver Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oliver Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oliver Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
