Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Abby is a super sweet senior who was surrendered because she was able to climb a chain link fence. Her owners lived close to a very busy street and they didn't want to take a chance that she might get hit by a car. They loved her and were devastated that they had to give her up. Abby gets along with other dogs but really prefers to be with people. Abby is at least 8-10 years old. She is a great size at 16 pounds and can easily jump up into a welcoming lap. She loves to sit next to you and be petted. She especially loves to have her head rubbed. Abby LOVES her crate and gets in it when she wants to rest or escape from a lot of activity. Abby is calm and quiet and would be a good companion for someone who wants an easy, loving friend. Abby would be fine as the only dog. She would do best in a home with no children because she doesn't like to be picked up. She prefers to jump up next to you rather than be picked up.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
