My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a total lover!! and so pretty :) AND JUST GRADUATED FROM PUPPY SCHOOL! My foster Dad met me at a very dangerous shelter in Dallas and saw a sparkle in my eyes and love in my heart. So he came back for me when I was getting ready to be killed. And now I get to play and smooch all the time! I'm 10 months old and around 47 pounds. I am happy, bouncy dog who loves life, food and hanging out with people. I also love to run and play. For this reason, I would probably do best with a family with a yard or with someone who likes to go on long runs, and is looking for a faithful companion. I've run as far as 4 miles in one stretch without skipping a beat, but I am totally fine with short walks as well. I rarely bark. I have very little interest in hunting or chasing things When I meet dominant dogs or people, I am quickly submissive. I am house broken and I feel most comfortable sleeping in my kennel at night. It's super cozy! I am a quick learner, especially when food is on the line. I have learned several commands: to sit, lay down and stay. Sometime my puppy energy gets the best of me and I want to jump on new people I meet, but I am working on that, and ultimately I get along with everyone. Even cats! I get very excited about walks! My foster parent makes me sit before I go out and I must say I am pretty darn good at that. I'm trying to improve on maintaining a steady gate, because I just get too distracted by other dogs, cats and squirrels at times, and want to meet them. My favorite things to chew on are rawhides. But I'm not picky. And I can play fetch. I'm been very good about not chewing on things I'm not supposed to. In fact, I've never destroyed anything of my foster person's which for him is a first, I think.
