Dakota's Story...
Dakota came to the Hazel Park shelter as a stray. She is a very sweet and very gentle young girl, and will let people do pretty much anything to her. We have looked in her mouth, her ears, felt her paws, and in between her toes, without any reaction. She even likes to be hugged. Dakota thinks she is a lap dog, even though she is about 40lbs. If you tell her to stop doing something, she listens.

Dakota is approximately 1-2 years old. She is mostly tan, with some white.

Dakota does well with most other dogs. However, she does not like our alpha female, (but she is not the first), and she has done fine with males.

If you are looking for a really sweet and loving dog, you will want to meet Dakota.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota, a Hazel Park Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Hazel Park, or seeking a Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Hazel Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hazel Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hazel Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hazel Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
