found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.
When Jasper was only a few months old and he still hadn't found a home, his rescuers thought he and his family would have a better chance of finding a bully-savvy home via a breed-specific rescue specializing in pit bulls. They had no idea that Spindletop Pit Bull Refuge in Willis, TX wasn't what it seemed, and were very grateful to get Jasper and his friends back safely after the "refuge" was raided by HSUS and shut down for animal abuse (learn more about Spindletop at http://www.houstonpress.com/2012-08-16/news/spindletop-dog-refuge/full/).
Following his ordeal at Spindletop, Jasper was very shy and afraid of new things, and he has been living in a foster home ever since working on courage and bravery. No one knows why Jasper hasn't found his family yet, but we think it is because that family is in Colorado, not Texas! Now that Jasper is more confident, he's come to Fort Collins to find the family he's been waiting for.
Jasper is good with some other dogs and he loves cats, but would do best as the only dog in the house and should never go to dog parks or be off leash with other dogs unsupervised. He can still be a bit shy in new situations, but he warms up quickly and is a loyal friend and a goofy, playful companion. If you are interested in meeting with Jasper, please call us for more information or submit an adoption application at the shelter or via e-mail to email@example.com.
