Gypsy's Story...
Gypsy is a very sweet mantle female great dane. She is approx 1.5 years old. This sweet girl has been through a lot in her short life. She came to us after being found in a ditch with two of her newborn puppies. She and the pups were covered in ticks (the worst tick infestation we have ever seen). Even after flea/tick medication we still had to manually remove hundreds of ticks. Several flea and tick baths later we are FINALLY getting a handle on the tick situation. She is such a good mom and a wonderful dog! She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home and hasn't tried to make snacks of the cats. Once her puppies are weaned Gypsy will be able to go home to her new family where she can spend the rest of her life just enjoying life as a dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gypsy, a Albuquerque Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Albuquerque, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Albuquerque.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albuquerque already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albuquerque breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albuquerque paves the way for another one to be saved.
