Zelda's Story...
Zelda is a black medium haired Labrador Retriever Mix. She is very strong and needs an adult to walk her until she learns her manners. Zelda is just one year old, 40 pounds and still acts a bit like a puppy - energetic and enthusiastic. True to her primary breed, Zelda will fetch and retrieve the ball and only stop for a quick dip in the pool, pond or puddle. She calms down after a few minutes of good playing and just needs to mature and learn a little more discipline and grow out of her pure puppyness. We are certain that Zelda will grow into a lovely dog if she is given the opportunity!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zelda, a Los Angeles Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
