Thunder's Story...
Thunder is a 1 year old Dachshund/JRT mix with possibly some shih tzu or poodle because his coat is SO SOFT!! He is a sweet little cuddle bug. His favorite place to be is curled up next to you! He is a great small dog weighing in at about 20lbs. Thunder was a stray who sat in Animal Care and control waiting for his family to come and no one did. Can you give this wonderful pup a home? For an application, please email UARadoptions@gmail.com
Adoption fee: $300 (cash only)

Thunder is up to date with vaccines, is neutered, and microchipped.

Can't give this pup a home? Maybe you can help! We are always looking for volunteers to help socialize and play with our adoptable animals. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thunder, a Chicago Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
