My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dakota is a handsome and loving, 55 pound, 4-5 year old Yellow Lab male that has had a tough go in life just recently. For some reason he was given away by his owners to people who promised to take good care of him. Instead they chained him to a tree and left him outside 24/7. This boy was mortified and so depressed and scared. When we first got him to his foster home he wiggled loose and ran for a few days in the neighborhood. He so wanted to trust people but so many had let him down in the past. Now he is inside at the foster home and he doesn't plan to leave until he has a new forever home. When he goes outside now to do his bathroom break, he makes a beeline back to the door to get in the house. He is a house dog BIG TIME! He is house trained and is respectful of people and all the other foster dogs in the home. He is crate trained but pouts when you ask him to go in. He had rather pick toys out of his toy box all day and just like kids he does not pick them up and put them back. There is satisfaction seeing toys all over the floor and knowing he had a good day. He enjoys sleeping in the
bed with his foster mom and again he does leave room for her and some of the other dogs. He sleeps at the foot of the bed and doesn't snore. He is a low key dude and listens well. Good on walks and enjoys the belly rubs. This boy is so grateful for love and a home life. I have not heard him bark but he does perk up his ears when he hears something. If Dakota is what you’re looking for give us a call, there is lots more to hear about this boy. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
