Owen is the ultimate hiking buddy! He is around 6 or 7, very active, and up for anything. Loves to ride in the car with you to run errands or to the dog park! Especially to the dog park. Owen seems to really warm up to Men more than Women, and that's OK!
Owen is a funny guy: he is not a needy dog; he does not cuddle. He is independent. We think he is part cat. He likes to sleep by himself, and keep to himself. He is very good with other dogs, but doesn't like submissive dogs and will chase them. We believe Owen was physically abused earlier in life and therefore does not like to be touched without solicitation. In other words: he'll let you know when he wants love. He does not do well with children.
Owen would do well with an adopter (male?) who can read doggie body language and can spend time with him for a period of time before adoption. An experienced dog owner who has other dogs and doesn't need a "snuggle bug".
