BRODY's Story...
Brody is a beautiful 1 year old Australian Shepherd mix boy weighing only 38 lbs. He is a good dog that somehow ended up at the bad shelter, which is so often the case. He gets along very well with other dogs and makes friends quickly. He is full of life and loves to play but is also very easy going and tolerant. When Brody first went to his foster home after being rescued from the shelter, he accidentally got a plastic container stuck on his head. It took 30 minutes of cutting, pulling and tugging to get him free, and through it all Brody never got agitated and was nothing but patient and thankful. Brody is working to learn leash walking, crate training, and housetraining and is doing well. He loves the water and will play happily in a kiddie pool outside on a hot day. He is a gentle soul that loves everyone he meets. Please consider giving Brody the second chance at a lifelong home that he deserves. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Why Adoption is a Great Option

BRODY, a Salem Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Salem, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
