BAXTER's Story...
Baxter, a 5-month old male Beagle mix pup, was rescued on Saturday, February 9, 2008 from a pound in Kentucky, along with Katia, a female German Shepherd/Chow mix.

Both Baxter and Katia were scheduled to die today (Friday, February 8, 2008). With the generous financial assistance of the rescue organization Stop the Suffering of Newark, Ohio, both dogs are now SAFE!

Katia is all ready to be adopted! Check out her profile here.

Baxter will be ready to adopt very soon! He still has to undergo his neutering which should occur in the next week or so. He currently weighs 19 pounds.

Baxter's foster mom said he is an absolutely sweet and precious little boy! He is a typical, playful pup and learns so FAST!

Update: Baxter will be ready soon for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BAXTER, a Columbus Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
