My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome Jackson was rescued from North Central Animal Shelter and is now ready to find an amazing home.

Facts:
5-7 year old Male Pure Breed Rottweiler
Neutered, current on Vaccines and Rabies
Good with Kids, Cats and other dogs
He is in over-all good health and loves to go on walks.

Jackson is our senior pure breed Rottweiler that was rescued from North Central Shelter. He is a bundle of love that wants to follow you around everywhere and be your shadow. He responds well to commands and is very treat driven.
Jackson is everything a Rottweiler prides itself of being: a family man, protective, looks for leadership and responds well to it or will take the lead. He does not like being man handled and can be growly if uncomfortable. He has excellent communication skills and is a loving soul. Being the runt of his litter- he does not like being bullied but is not an alpha dog. He tends to walk to beat of his own drum when not following his leader. He will fit into any household that will enjoy having their own Scooby Doo around their house and is an experienced handler. He can be a bit insecure around dogs his own size but does not have an aggressive bone in his body. He will give out a lil warning growl so he does best around confident, loving dogs with good communication skills that will not react to him.

He is dog and cat friendly but ultimately- enjoys being on his own. He is currently being fostered with various sized dogs and is 100% comfortable and gentle to smaller dogs but can be insecure with dogs his own size or larger. It just takes him a little while to warm up. Everyone who meets Jackson describes him as a total sweetheart or a teddy bear.
