HERO's Story...
MEET HERO: Here is one beautiful mamma! She seems like a mix of many breeds: Flat Coat Retriever/Lab/Cocker Spaniel (ears)/Border Collie. What we know for sure is she is BEAUTIFUL. HERO has a soft, shiny coat and her personality is as beautiful as she is! She was found abandoned trying to raise her puppies. She is the mother to the Z-pack puppies that are now available for adoption on our site. We pulled her from the shelter and placed her in the Camp Canine Program! She will attach quickly to her family and she is SO SWEET and SUPER FRIENDLY!! She is only around 2 years and 6 months of age and weighs around 40 pounds. She has been vetted, shots up to date, parasite free, (she was just spayed) and microchipped. If you would like to meet this gorgeous, deserving girl, please contact the Humane Society of Oldham County at email: lisannehsoc@yahoo.com or phone our office at 502-222-7537.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HERO, a LaGrange Retriever (Unknown Type)/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Border Collie for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Border Collie dog from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Border Collie breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
