MANDI.'s Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and good with dogs.

MANDI.'s Story...
THIS IS MANDI....a tan and white w/ black tips, 2-3 yr old, 14 lb, Lhasa Shih Tzu female from the Baldwin Park shelter. "Oh Mandi...she came and she gave without taking...." and that is the story of this wonderful little girl. In the shelter, she was terrified. Not lunging or attacking the cage, just curling her lip, she was just scared to death! They were going to euthanize her...but thankfully, LHH to the Rescue!!! Mandi loves to cuddle and snuggle. She is a little protective of strangers at first, but she settles down quickly. Once she knows that you are not going to hurt her, she is great. But she is a little fearful at first, so she would not be good with children. She is funny and playful -- loves to pull each and every toy out of the basket and play, play play!!! She is a certified toy maniac!!! She will be great in a home where she gets tons of attention. Probably best with another small dog...she is interested and finally playing with our fosters. She will need some obedience training to help her be the best little girl she can be....could be housetrained but we never guarantee. This is a terrific dog who we will miss when she goes to her furever home. We will not place her out of the local So CA area or in a home where she will be left alone during the day. Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag! Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption!!

Come see this pup at one of our adoptions events, either at My Pet Naturally (see calendar for event dates)....or on Sunday in Brentwood (near Los Angeles) at the Farmer's Market or at a special event we may be doing. Check our Events Calendar for more information! Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MANDI., a Los Angeles Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
