My story

Hi---I am Beagle Boy! I am a handsome, sweet, quiet and cuddly boy that you will fall in love with immediately. I have been with my foster family for a couple weeks now and they said I am a joy to have around. I love to be petted and have my belly rubbed.

I got to spend Easter with two other beagles and we all got along fine---we mostly ignored each other. I am not sure how I would do with larger dogs though. I think I would be fine as an ‘only’ dog or with another small dog. I haven’t had much experience around children except on Easter, I got to meet an 18-month old boy and I was fine.

I usually eat breakfast and then my foster mom takes me for a walk. Whenever we go for a walk, I want to meet everyone I see.I do pretty well, but I do get a little stubborn when I want to go one way and my foster mom wants to go the other way. She is working with me to learn who’s in charge.

My foster Mom is home most of the day, so I pretty much follow her around the house. When she does have to leave, I go in the crate---she usually has to give me a nudge into the crate (I never bark when I go in the crate). I haven’t had any accidents in the crate or in the house either, so I must have been housebroken before. I currently sleep in the crate at night, but if you would be willing, I would love to snuggle with you. I love to curl up in a blanket on the floor during the day. Since I am such a quiet boy, I’m sure I would do fine in an apartment too.
