My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is EJ and I am a 20 year old Timneh African Grey. I came from a family where I was very loved and well cared for, but I need a new place to call home. I LOVE being the center of attention, but I will also be a good boy and sit by quietly and watch as long as you include me in your family activities. I step up easily and I am a very curious fellow. My foster Mom is trying to get me to try some new foods and is over time decreasing the amount of seeds in my diet – she says she is trying to make me even healthier than I already am! I also LOVE to entertain you with whistles and chuckles and I can speak in two different voices (male or female) and I apply it to the situation I am in – did I mention I am VERY smart? When tasting foods you give me, I can say “Want some?”, “Is it good?” and when you are leaving I say “Gotta go, bye-bye!” or “See ya later”. When you cover my cage at night I say “Night Night” or “See you in the morning” and when you wake me up I say “Wanna come out?” or “Gimme a Kiss” (oh yeah – I love to kiss, I will kiss you every time you walk by if you let me!!) So now that you know all about me – please go fill out an application for adoption on the Florida Parrot Rescue website (www.floridaparrotrescue.com) so you can come and meet me – then I can learn all about you! I can’t wait to meet you and your family so we can become one big, happy family forever!
