Jax is an absolutely precious boy! He showed up in someones yard in horrific condition. Those nice people wanted to do the right thing for Jax and contacted the angels to swoop in and help him. Jax is 2 years old and the beginning of this little mans life I can only imagine. He came to us with his entire body having a skin infection and his front two legs were deformed simply, we believe, from malnutrition and poor care. The good news is, he is in a great foster home now getting the care and attention he deserves. His skin is night and day from what it was originally. A biopsy has confirmed that Jax has a genetic condition known as ichthyosis. Right now he gets special baths a few times per week and daily oral medication. His condition will likely need lifelong management.
Jax is kennel trained and does good with the other dogs (big and small) and lives with one cat. Â His Jack Russell personality is coming out as he starts to feel better and he likes to chase the other dogs and tries to boss them around. He LOVES food. Â He LOVES toys and he LOVES attention! Â This spunky little boy is just waiting for his furever home!!
