My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Big Papi is all love and wiggle bottom happiness. He is a wonderful, affectionate, special guy. He has such love in him and plops down at your feet wiggling on his back trying to make you giggle and begging for a belly scratch. Big Papi is super mellow and would love a couch potato home to call his own. He is very quiet and would do well in an apartment. His energy needs are minimal and he’s prefer to cuddle on the couch for naps than take lots of walks. Papi is housetrained, crate trained, good with cats and other dogs and absolutely loves children. His favorite thing is to find a cozy spot where he can watch over his favorite people. By any standards, Papi is one of the most wonderful dogs I've ever met. We are looking for a special home for Papi. Papi was treated pretty awfully before he came to Wags and as a result, he is afraid of human men. Papi's dream home is with women, children and/or other dogs and with someone that knows to give him a safe spot to go when men come visit. Papi had his ears cut off with scissors, a gun shot wound on one of his front legs and an extensive tattoo on his belly. Papi has endured too much and is a very loving soul in spite of this treatment. He is so easy to be with. You will never have a shortage of love and kisses in your life if you can give Papi an environment where he can feel safe around new men. When unfamiliar men come to our rescue, I show Papi to the laundry room and he takes a nap. It is a pretty simple routine and he does get use to men after a few visits and a few treats. Food is a the way to Papi's heart!
