My story

Shadow is a delightful mature Chocolate Lab with a tail that never stops wagging who will make someone a wonderful and loyal companion. Shadow's owners sold their home last September, moved into a hotel while looking for a new house to buy, and placed Shadow at a boarding kennel. They recently advised the boarding kennel that they found somewhere to rent instead of buy, but that they were not allowed to bring Shadow. They called their vet to have him euthanized but the vet refused to euthanize a healthy dog, so Shadow was signed over to Kiko's care. Shadow is between 8 and 9 years of age, and loves everyone he meets. He is now on a Kiko diet of holistic food and has started losing some excess weight. Shadow will also benefit from a home where he will get regular walks. He is very well cared for at the kennel, but he has been there long enough and he needs a home environment. All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworm, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $400 ($275 for senior dogs and $125 for cats) and an adoption contract.
