My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

~ ADOPTION PENDING ~

You may meet and apply to adopt Kingsley at our ADOPTION EVENT on SATURDAY, MAY 24th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in IRVINE. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Kingsley is a male Yorkshire Terrier approximately 6-8 years in age. He is tiny, weighing in at only 8 pounds full grown. This perky, fun loving little Yorkie, with his loyal nature and spunky personality, has become a foster family favorite. When arriving home, after short errands, Kingsley will greet you with a bouncy little body and his toothy grin. He muffles his excitement by snatching up one of his squeaky play toys and "talks" into it, as if to say "you came home just for me and I'm soo glad to see you." Kingsley is good with other dogs and likes to play with doggie friends his size. He rolls, wrestles, and makes talking noises. He plays until the last dog has decided to take a rest. He loves his dry food, as treats, and can find it even if you have a leftover in your pocket. He gives gentle kisses and loves to cuddle. He rides well in the car and is a cute "magnet" wherever you take him. He is paper pad trained and has done well going potty outside, in what he deems as his private area-- "no peeking" until he is finished. He is able to entertain himself, but prefers to be within sight of his people and friends. Kingsley has made a remarkable recovery after being severely traumatized. He came in stray to a very high-kill shelter nearly dead from starvation and dehydration. He has spent the last month in his foster home recovering and eating. He definitely needs a nurturing and loving home, one that he can depend on so that he is safe always. After his vet check, it was determined that Kingsley has limited sight in his left eye. However that has not interfered with his daily life in even the slightest way, and is barely noticeable. He is also temporarily on medication and a hepatic diet until his liver recovers from his previous trauma. Kingsley is a head turner wherever he goes and seems to acclimate to new situations readily. Kingsley is a treasure, a love, and ready for his forever home today.

Kingsley’s adoption donation is $350 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Kingsley is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteers, Phyllis and Richard and is ready for his forever home.

You may meet and apply to adopt Kingsley at our ADOPTION EVENT on SATURDAY, MAY 24th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in IRVINE located at 15333 Culver Dr., Irvine, CA 92604. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com
