Sophie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Sophie's Story...
Sophie was a pup at a local shelter when Dusty Paws took her into foster care in February of 2014. She was in immediate danger of euthanasia because of a bad case of demodex mange which caused her skin to be red and patchy. Sophie was one happy puppy to get into a safe home and into treatment. Her skin quickly began clearing up and her fur grew back in. She is now spayed and cleared for adoption.
Sophie is about 8 months old as of the first of May and is 45 lbs. She is a very sweet, affectionate girl. However, at this time she seems somewhat uncomfortable around children, so we are seeking an adult home for her. A home with a dog companion as well would be ideal, as she loves other dogs. Sophie is house-trained.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Castro Valley Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dalmatian for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dalmatian breeders who help with Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
