When Arabella's family moved to another state they packed up their house with all their belongings. loaded the car and drove away. . . . leaving Arabella behind. Like a good loyal girl, Arabella stayed at the house, sure that they would soon realize they had left her and come back to get her. What she didn't realize is that leaving her was no accident: they had no intention of ever returning. Arabella stayed day after day, week after week, waiting. Finally, someone in the area realized what was going on and called a rescue to see if they could help Arabella. A volunteer went out to see if they could lure her, but Arabella needed no coaxing -- she was so grateful to see a human and she was even more grateful to taste the food, since she was almost completely emaciated by then. The biggest surprise of all was the 4 puppies that no one knew were living under the house. Through all of this, Arabella had given birth and been the most wonderful mom to 4 baby girls who she somehow completely unselfishly managed to keep fat, happy and healthy.
Now all of Arabella's babies have been adopted and it's Arabella's turn to find love and happiness! She is a loving, nurturing young girl who is full of life! She loves to play with anyone who will play with her -- dogs, puppies, children. It's like she knows she has been given a second chance and she's not wasting a minute! We think Arabella is about a year old, she's put back her weight to a healthy 50 pounds and she's spayed (yay!!). We have no idea what her true mix is (she looks very Labby or like a RR without the ridge) but if "Loyal Faithful Companion" were an AKC registered breed, she would be the breed standard!!
