Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Approved adopter can pick up in Redding
Jennie Bell is a 16 month old 25-30 pound pup that was raised in the country now fostered in quiet setting outside the city limits prefer same not a city dweller a quiet neighborhood may be fine depending on many things
She loves all other dogs great with small dogs too
fine with a nice child over 10 years old that has learned how to respect animals she lived with kids one nice child 8 years one rugrat 3 years that kept hitting her so the dog had to go as mom could not control her child
Please be a down to earth type person/family that has love and patience for a rescue dog like sweet Jennie
Jennie will make you laugh as she loves being a clown
all in time once she feels secure and comfie with her new people
Jennie was in boarding for a bit with a single woman and another dog she loved it there and loved the woman right away
Jennie Belle is looking for a dog or breed experience folks with extra love and patience
her best friends in foster where Indy and Tallie who where adopted leaving her behind
but then Bambie came along and both play together
Once bonded with new owners she loves to snuggle and hang with her family, she loves to hug but you can just tell her to jump up on you to do that otherwise she usually does not jump
she is well mannered depending what you allow a dog to do
she sits and lies down on command
she does like to bark at strangers if she's overwhelmed or under stress
so a very low stimulus home best until she's settled in
She's not hyper but daily exercise a must for a young dog of that breed as well as training for mental stimulation and bonding
she is supersmart, fully housetrained, crate trained too
Jennie Bell prefers a more quiet setting but did very well going into a petstore she loved that a lot
so with practice and babysteps she could eventually feel even better about going to crowded places
Jenny would love to explore the country side in a big fenced yard with people that are more home then gone go on hikes on trails etc
She would do best if there was another dog there she can learn from and play with
She can easily keep up with a large dog at play as long as they are friendly and love to romp like she does
She would prefer a home that does not have tons of daily foot traffic in/out not used to it at least initally until fully settled in
she can get a bit skittish at times until fully bonded with new people and places so you must be extra patient and have some experience with shy dogs she's totally fine once bonded no problems a happy loving kissy girl just not for anyone but for that right super loving mom she is fine with men too but not as a guys dog
Please keep in mind only because she's part rat terrier she will not nor should catch your rodents that's not healthy and they make rat traps for that
we put this in because someone wanted her to kill their rats
