My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chloe comes to us from an owner surrender situation. Here are a few things about Chloe that will make you want to take her home forever! First, she just loves her human. She will do whatever she can to cuddle with you and sleep on the bed with you. She doesn’t think she is a big dog in that regard. She loves nothing more than to be close to her human – playing ball, rope toy, or just hanging out with you on the sofa. Chloe is also potty trained. She will let you know when she wants out by standing next to the door. She would love a big fenced yard to hang out in on sunny days. She loves to sunbathe with her human. Chloe also LOVES the water. If you take out the hose, she gets excited and wants to “chase the stream”. She would love her human to buy her a big sized kiddie pool to play in (it’ll keep her out of your pond if you have one!), or to take her swimming in a lake on nicer days. Due to a bad experience, Chloe is unsure around little dogs (any dog under 20 pounds). She got bit by one once and doesn’t know how to view them. She has been around them, however, and any introductions should be closely monitored. Chloe does very well with larger breed dogs and once she knows her place in the pack, she fits right in. She does try to sometimes display dominance-type behavior (mounting) but she is very obedient when told to stop. Chloe has also met guinea pigs and showed no interest in doing them any harm. She is simply a charmer! One thing to note about Chloe is that she had a very bad reaction to anesthesia when she was spayed – so any future owner will want to know this in case of any medical procedures that may be scheduled (teeth cleaning etc).
